aaron and i ran it in 27:57 and then did some l-sits and kte's.
how heavy running 5k is on the mental side and how light on the work output and intensity was never as apparent as today. neither of us like running and we both would have probably quit if the other hadn't been there. we huffed and puffed through 5k, (true not in any real impressive pace)and we both were pretty much fully recovered , not breathing hard, lowered heart rate within 2 minutes of finishing. compare that to a 500m row for time, fran or even max pull-ups....the recovery is way longer, the workout way shorter. we'll if that holds true as we approach sub 20-minute 5k's?!
